I love this post way too much! Brave New World is and has been my favorite book since I first read it in school. (and many times since)

I think they were both right. But Huxley was probably more right.

They’re definitely both right.

One must look at the scope of the world, not just America or “developed” societies.

If they are both (which I believe they were) talking about the downfall of man as a whole, and not specific societies, Orwell applies to the middle-east, the U.S. puppet-states, and horrible acts against humanity in general such as Guantanamo.

Huxley simply pertains to the “developed” world.
